DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL ACCOUNT SALES – LEISURE GROUP

We are currently looking for an experienced hotel group sales professional (Manager/Director level) to join our growing team as a full-time employee working remotely from home or our corporate office in Hoboken NJ. The ideal candidate will have an existing client base within the Leisure Group Market perhaps having worked for a hotel chain or another third party specializing in tour & travel and SMERF group business. This person might also have tour operations or buyer experience to see things from the “customer perspective.” Experience working with student and adult tour operators and attending domestic tradeshows like SYTA, ABA, NTA are all a plus.
Summary of Job:
This position is responsible for developing new domestic group business and resurrecting old dormant accounts within the Leisure & SMERF Group Market by a mix of utilizing candidate’s prior client base wherever possible along with existing TravelAdvocates’ accounts and lead pool, and by attending tradeshows like SYTA, ABA, and NTA. This position generates revenue by creating, maintaining and growing relationships with group customers through our one-stop shop hotel booking service and our global hotel partners. You'd be finding customers and placing them in proper hotels after you (or your operations teammates) have negotiated the rates and terms with the accommodation provider.
TravelAdvocates works with hotels all over the globe primarily on a commission basis. You’re responsible for identifying and developing new business through personal sales efforts targeted at prospective accounts, traveling on targeted sales missions, and attending tradeshows. You’d also be given many dormant accounts to resurrect. There will be no shortage of potential accounts for you to call on.
